As part of our annual gathering for independent school students, TCI offers a weekend of specialized workshops for independent school faculty who are interested in exploring resources for strengthening Jewish identity within a multicultural framework.

Highlights of the 2010 Retreat:
- Build personal and working relationships with faculty and students from around the country
- Network with Boston-area Jewish education professionals
- Faculty-centered roundtable and case studies exploring educators’ roles at independent schools and challenges faced in engaging:
- Spirituality, culture and identity
- Students along lines of religion and culture
- Student and faculty elective workshops
- Interactive explorations of Jewish spirituality, music, meditation and yoga
Schedule
Participants should expect to arrive between 4-6pm on Friday, January 15. Jewbilee will conclude on Sunday, January 17, at 1pm. A detailed schedule will be available soon.
Cost
Registration includes all program fees, meals, and accommodations (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch). Teachers may want to bring pocket money for an evening on the town. For teachers traveling from the San Francisco Bay Area on the group flight, the total cost including transportation is $675.
- Early Bird Registration (through November 30): $250
- Late Registration (December 1 - January 5): $300
- San Francisco Bay Area Registration + Group Flight: $675
- Cancellation Deadline (December 21): all but $50 refunded
- After December 21, no refund will be possible.
Limited financial aid is available; please
contact your respective TCI Regional Director as soon as possible and no later than December 25 to request financial assistance.
Accommodations
Jewbilee participants will stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel, a short walk from downtown Cambridge. The Doubletree is located at:

Jewbilee participants will share rooms. If you would like to bring your partner, spouse, or family to Jewbilee, please be in touch with Abby Gondek at
agondek@tcionline.org We will have the opportunity to use the indoor heated pool, sauna, and whirlpool. High speed internet access and wireless are available.
Transportation to Jewbilee
Jewbilee participants are responsible for their own transportation, however, there will be chaperoned groups traveling to and from Jewbilee from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, San Francisco, and New York, at designated times. If you would like to join a chaperoned group, Please
contact the respective TCI Regional Director to arrange transportation.

How to Register for Jewbilee 2010
Registration for faculty is a two step process:
- Click here to register online by January 5. Each participant must register online.
- Submit payment. Payment must be received by us no later than by January 5. Payment can be made through paypal or via check. Students in need of financial aid must contact their regional director no later than December 25. Click here for detailed instructions about payment and financial aid.
